OUR FRENCH HOUSE

SUN, WINE AND FRIENDS.
If you are a Francophile, you will get your fill here. If you are not, you will. It is hard not to like the rhythm of life, the simple life and the surroundings where there is so much to discover. The sun shines most of the time but it is still leafy and green - simply perfect.
Life in Pouzolles is going along nicely. People work on their wine production, gossip over a glass of pastis at the village tavern, maybe a game of pétanque in the park, and enjoy both old and new residents of the village.
The village is located on a slope facing the river that winds its way through the valley.
In the middle of the village lies the castle with its characteristic towers, the old church, the village tavern and the park. Around these run the alleys with the small village houses of all shapes and sizes. About 1,200 people live here with a small Nordic colony of five households.
Pouzolles

HOME IN THE VILLAGE
There is the local bakery, the small grocery store, the newsagent, the small bar , the L'arjolle winery and the park that receives the delivery trucks during the week. The meat truck, the fish truck, the vegetable truck, the cheese truck. It is a living countryside...
Mat och dryck är livet. Punkt.

DANCING WITH BRAZZERS
Everyone is there! Every Friday in July and August there is a village festival in the park. Sit at the long tables and be served a long line of local food and wine. In the meantime, music from different eras is played and you can get up and dance as much or as little as you want.
Vingårdar

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST WINE REGION
One of the best and largest is just 200 meters from the house. And in the area there is everything from the one-man farmer to castle producers. All equally proud and generous to offer tastings of their wines. There are so many different ones, so there will be just as many favorites.
Det franska köket

GOOD, BETTER, BEST
Everything from the simplest village tavern to the French bistro to the Michelin restaurant. They are all within a quarter of a mile radius. In Swedish eyes, eating and drinking out at a restaurant is very affordable. So we do that often :-) For those of you who are a little extra interested in wine, you can follow Ann's Instagram @frudruva
The beach

20 MILES OF ENJOYMENT
It must be one of Europe's best kept secrets. What beaches! 30 minutes to wide, sparsely populated, unexploited and easily accessible sandy beaches. With or without a restaurant, with or without dogs, with or without clothes, but everything is well signposted... :-) It's lovely to take a dip in the warm Mediterranean one day late in September...
