Beautiful Landscape

To get here:

Traveling here takes three hours or three days, and both have their advantages. Direct flights are convenient and comfortable, but a drive through Europe can provide opportunities to find hidden gems along the way. Sometimes one method is suitable, sometimes the other.

By plane

From Sweden; the easiest, and probably cheapest, is to fly Arlanda - Beziers with Ryan Air. Direct flights Mondays and Thursdays (2025). Beziers airport is 25 minutes from the village. You can also fly to Montpellier, Mpl airport is 50 minutes from the village and is served by direct flights in the summer by Norwegian but by many other airlines every day of the year.

About 2 hours by car from the airport, you can fly to Barcelona, Toulouse or Marseille, which are served by all kinds of airlines.

By train

Or fly to Paris and then take the high-speed train (which goes directly from CDG airport) down to Beziers, a beautiful journey through France that takes about 4 hours. However, the French train company TGV/Sncf does not release tickets until 3 months in advance, but you can check approximate prices via previous dates. It is possible to take the train all the way from Sweden, but we recommend the newly published book "Languedoc within reach" for more detailed information.

By car

It is also a nice trip to drive, we usually drive with two overnight stays from the Stockholm area. Can have its advantages both in terms of price (because you don't need to rent a car) and that you can bring a collection of good wines back :-) It is 2500 km from Stockholm.

First to Lübeck/Travemünde, either via Denmark or ferry from Malmö/Trelleborg. From there you either choose the eastern route down through Germany via Frankfurt - through Alsace - Lyon. Or the western route via Cologne - Luxembourg - Lyon. Both are exactly the same length.
